I grew up in Logan, UT, surrounded by the mountains, an environment that sparked my curiosity and love of creative exploration. Now living in Madison, WI, I spend my time wandering the city’s parks with my dog, Troma, sharing life with my partner, Emily, and exploring the local arts and nature scene—whether visiting Olbrich Botanical Gardens, checking out neighborhood galleries, or gardening in community spaces.
My work and travels have taken me to a variety of inspiring places. I helped reconstruct a historic log cabin in Wisconsin, taught photography workshops in India, and volunteered on organic farms in Bulgaria. These experiences shaped my view of art and education as collaborative, adaptive practices. I celebrate neurodiversity and strive to create inclusive, engaging spaces where learners can connect their unique perspectives to creative expression.
I hold an MFA from Duke University and a BA in Film and Television from Columbia College Chicago. My teaching spans interdisciplinary courses and continuing education programs, always emphasizing accessibility, student-centered learning, and opportunities for all learners to explore their creativity.
In my own creative practice, I design experiences that live at the intersections of expanded media, performance, and participatory art. Outside of work, I find inspiration in music, film, gardening, and the everyday beauty of Madison, weaving these influences into both my art and my teaching.
